Anon

Without meaning to be patronising, but I have been asked many questions as to why I signoff with ‘Anon’, often with the an after statement such as; ‘your not anonymous’. I’ve even had “Who’s Anon”? So with respect to all I use it as my way of saying: (Archaic or literary) soon, presently, shortly, promptly, before long, forthwith, betimes (archaic), erelong (archaic or poetic), in a couple of shakes (informal) So, I am taking my leave now, but you shall all hear from me anon. Again, with respect to all,

Mick
