From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia
The European Hedgehog (Erinaceous europaeus), also known as the West European hedgehog or common hedgehog, is a hedgehog species found in Europe, from Iberia and Italy northwards into Scandinavia. It is a generally common and widely distributed species that can survive across a wide range of habitat types. It is a well-known species, and a favourite in European gardens, both for its endearing appearance and its preference for eating a range of garden pests. While populations are currently stable across much of its range, it is thought to be declining severely in Great Britain.

  1. Hi Mick, I admire your enthusiasm, but would like to request that you limit your entries to two or three absolute favorites for the week, so that other participants and me do not get overwhelmed. Also, if you can, include your camera and lens information and settings used. That is how we all learn from each other. Thank you!

Not a problem Susan, I am enthusiastic for sure, and I agree, a bit OTT, so much so that I was getting myself lost. So 2 to 3 it will be and not to forget the camera details, which I to think are helpful. Hey, and I admire your enthusiasm too, you do a fantastic job. Best wishes,
      Mick
