Passion Flower

Passion Flower
Lay down on your pillow
and turn the lights down low
let me take you to the garden
where the passion flower grows

Close your eyes and enter dreams
as love’s emotion sets the scene
and flitters through the garden
where the passion flower grows

Touch the tender petals
of the flower as she grows
a tentative endeavour
as your feelings overflow

Let me draw you to the place
where ecstasy can be embraced
the beauty of the garden
where the passion flower grows

Feel your mind exploding
in the heavy scented air
experience the shiver
as your captured unaware

A little touch of heaven
where imagination flows
the valley in the garden
where the passion flower grows.

White Rose

White Roses
THE red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
O, the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.
But I send you a cream-white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips

Dalia

Dahlias
Dahlias, their beauty in so, so many forms abound
Their colours too, of many, many a hue are found.
In the autumn, which dahlias do so complement
Is thanks to all gardeners, of which their sole intent
Is to nurture dahlias, so when in the fullest of bloom
Their colours enhance the nuance’s of autumns tune

Holly Berries

Holly
As time doth speed by ever, ever faster,
I cast my mind back to days of laughter.
Holly wreaths adorning  halls, and doors,
Inspired expectations, pre Christmas chores..
Helping mom, and dad get all things ready
Writing a note to Santa Clause for a teddy.
Christmas eve, almost ready for the day
All remained was for us to find Santa’s tray,
A pie, a glass of milk and a sprig of holly,
All left out for Santa, boy  did we feel jolly!
All that was a very  long, long time ago,
But many thanks to holly for it still is so!
