Slug Tanka’s

Slugs and snails slimy
Garden terrors so some say
They are cleaners all
Detritus to human waste
All yum treats for slugs and snails
🐌🐌🐌🐌🐥🐌🐌🐌🐌
Natural beauty
Humans poison kill destroy
Sustenance for some
Endangered species trusting
Nature will teach non carers
~~~~~ 🐥 ~~~~~
Tiger slugs from afar
Brought by boat air train and car
Their choice so not so
Now here please do leave alone
By default please let them roam
Limax maximus: Linked to Wikipedia for information on this species. I cant find where I read that it was a relatively new species to the UK. Please accept my error as artistic licence, but in mitigation they were not recorded in the UK until the late 17th century.
      I agree they do, do a bit, but, (not a personal dig, (pun unintended), for I am guilty too), think of the unrepairable damage some humans do. If they could squash? Now that’s an argh, that doesn’t bear thinking about, uh! the thought has me squirming, yuk! ☺
