My Daily Haiku #9

My Daily Haiku
Mick Talbot
daily haiku, tanka three, and if you look hard, a senryu view
I wished you had
a late gift from Santa Clause
he owes me one too
dedicated to
and inspired by Anna
Cottage and the moon
Santa late he got mentioned
dropped a gift he’d forgotten
I caught a glimpse
a crescent moon—clouds put it out
hark rain drops tinkling
nature taking care as must
mind could it be Santa’s bells
yep I thought it was
he called left a gift for me
an empty box—no
a note he left too—open
take the love and share it all
kept a looking out
clouds again the moon hiding
owl heard but not seen
